On the first day of fall—and in the middle of Falls Prevention Awareness Week—SafelyYou will be joined by Direct Supply’s Clinical Director, Liz Jensen, for a robust fall prevention discussion, focusing on the role and advantages of technology in fall management. We’ll cover where technology fits into a comprehensive program, how to maximize these innovations, and methods for reducing fall risk through the timely orchestration of digital and human interactions. We’ll also review what technology works, what falls short, and why.

Liz Jensen, MSN, RN, RN-BC
Clinical Director, Direct Supply

Liz leads health innovation initiatives with the Direct Supply Innovation & Technology Center. In her role she brings together diverse professionals including clinicians, technology developers, engineers, and designers to collaborate, test and pilot innovative technology, products and services. Her work aims to translate evidence-based research, regulations, and risk management strategies into practical processes that drive better outcomes, improved customer satisfaction and reduced cost to care. Liz’s prior experience as a senior care nurse executive, educator, and direct care nurse informs her nursing practice in this unique role. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Innovation Platform Advisory Council for AMDA/The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care; is a member of the AHCA Clinical Practice Committee; and is a frequent speaker at national and local conferences on advancing innovation in senior care.

Ann recently joined SafelyYou from Church Mutual where she was a senior living risk control specialist. There she collaborated with clients to implement risk-control service plans, researched best practices for accident and injury prevention and developed resource materials for staff and clients. A registered and licensed occupational therapist, Ann practiced for 20 years in healthcare settings including hospitals, assisted living, memory care and outpatient clinics.

Glen Xiong, MD
Chief Medical Officer, SafelyYou

Dr. Xiong earned his medical degree from UC Davis and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center. He is certified by the American Medical Directors Association in Post-Acute and Long-term Care Medicine (2006, 2016). He provides clinical care at the UC Davis Medical Center, and in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities.

Caroline Browne, MSPT

Caroline comes to SafelyYou with over 18 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist, working in Senior Healthcare for the past 13 years.  She has 15 years of leadership experience as a clinical operator, supporting business and clinical growth in post-acute rehabilitation healthcare settings. Caroline has provided expertise in clinical training, consulting, and facility build-outs in the expansion of U.S. based senior care into international markets. She’s currently helping to lead the growth and expansion of SafelyYou as the Director of Customer Success, supporting fall reduction strategies, implementation, and overall customer engagement.
